The Iowa Department of Public Safety has certified iPatrol™ for law enforcement access to the IOWA System.
iPatrol™, the revolutionary new service for Android™ Smartphones and Tablets from the CPI subsidiary, the Law Enforcement Wireless Village (www.LEWV.us) is running in production in Iowa. Finally, real time access to IOWA System, NCIC, NLETS, State and local law enforcement information is within reach – easily and affordable.
Now officers on foot, on bikes, ATVs, boats, or working undercover can run information queries from anywhere - without having to call a dispatcher or open a laptop.
It's a fact, when officers on the street do more real-time Criminal Justice Information Services (CJIS)
queries they find and recover more property and people wanted by the law. With iPatrol™, officers can perform Vehicle, Person, Gun, Article and Boat queries.
Secure controlled chat rooms enable officers to work together to share information and they can access members of their own agency and communicate to LEWV users in other agencies.
iPatrol™ is available to authorized CJIS users. iPatrol™ meets FBI security requirements including multi-factor authentication and FIPS 140-2 encryption required for accessing confidential CJIS data.
iPatrol™ accesses NCIC, Nlets, and State databases using the Computer Projects of Illinois, Inc. (CPI) OpenFox™ Gateway interconnected to States via the Nlets secure network to the LEWV Network Operations Center.
