Technical Lead, Program Management

The Technical Lead serves as a multi-faceted liaison between the Program Management Office (PMO), sales and marketing, software development, support center, and our customers. In this role, you will leverage your industry knowledge, a comprehensive understanding of the OpenFox® product suite, and a broad array of technical skills to implement products and solutions for the Law Enforcement Community. The successful candidate will be a customer-focused self-directed problem-solver providing software solutions knowledge throughout the full product life cycle.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Confer with customers to elicit, analyze, and validate detailed functional requirements and current operating procedures
  • Interpret and translate customer business, functional, and technical requirements into high-quality requirements-related work products, such as use cases, requirement specifications, process flows, activity diagrams, and test cases
  • Collaborate with application developers, sales engineers, subject matter experts, and customers to establish the design solution and analyze tradeoffs between usability and performance needs
  • Assist customers in the configuration of, and migration to, the OpenFox® product suite throughout the project life cycle
  • Deliver work products, including (but not limited to): message key configurations, form creation/updates, and XSLT stylesheets
  • Develop and maintain procedures, documentation, training materials, and user manuals
  • Analyze and diagnose application errors and performance issues
  • Conduct product demonstrations and training for new CPI employees and customer personnel on the OpenFox® product suite
  • Clearly communicate status, risks, and issues to program management
  • Knowledge sharing with team members

  • Willingness to travel throughout the United States as required
  • Be able to work daily from our corporate headquarters in Bolingbrook, IL
  • College degree or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience

Preferred Skills

  • Familiarity with UNIX/LINUX environments
  • Experience with XSLT stylesheet development
  • Experience developing and delivering virtual or in-person training curriculum and materials
  • Previous law enforcement or criminal justice knowledge or experience
  • Experience working with Google software such as Gmail, Sheets, Drive, etc.

Background Check
