CPI recently made enhancements to the Missouri State Highway Patrol (MSHP) Computerized Criminal History (CCH) system to conduct additional background checks on behalf of the Department of Elementary and Secondary Education (DESE) and the Office of Childhood. These enhancements included changes to the Missouri Automated Criminal History Site (MACHS) to provide users with updated privacy rights for the Child Care and Development Block Grant Act (CCDBGA).

CPI OpenFox (CPI) and MSHP updated the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) Applicant response to include the National Sex Offender Registry (NSOR) response for the Originating Agency Identification (ORI) flagged with the NCIC NSOR Check flag in the Agency’s module.

Scope of Work

CPI updated the FBI applicant response format to include the National Crime Information Center (NCIC) and the National Sex Offender Registry (NSOR) results to the end of the FBI applicant response on a separate page. This change is only applicable to background checks submitted by ORI’s with the NCIC NSOR Check indicator marked as “Y” in the OpenFox Agency Editor Module.

CPI performed the following tasks to implement the change:

  • Update the FBI applicant response format to parse the query results on a separate page at the end of the FBI applicant response
  • The format of the response includes the State response, Federal response, and the NCIC NSOR response.
