The Project consisted of:

· Upgrading the core OpenFox® Message Switch module(s) to the latest version(s)

· Replacing the Power/AIX based OpenFox® Message Switch Production System a software-only installation on a Linux/RHEL based virtual machine (VM) provided by WIDOJ

· Creating an OpenFox® Message Switch Test System with a software-only installation on a Linux/RHEL based virtual machine provided by WIDOJ

· Replacing the current Power/AIX based Disaster Recovery (DR) System with a software-only installation on a Linux/RHEL based virtual machine provided by WIDOJ

· Identifying the necessary CPI file systems that will be synchronized to the DR system by the SAN synchronization process implemented by WIDOJ

· Converting the OpenFox data, software, and configurations to Linux compatibility

· Performing system integration testing

· Transitioning the new solution into production

Also, part of the project was a new data replication procedure, allowing for all OpenFox executables and configuration files to be replicated in the Disaster Recovery environment. This is a significant difference from SAN synchronization as SAN synchronization duplicates everything, where the new CPI process only duplicates the necessary files for DR.

WI DOJ becomes the 13^th CPI OpenFox System to convert to Linux.
