CPI Deploys Endangered Missing Person Alerts for Idaho State Police

CPI and the Idaho State Police have recently implemented Endangered Missing Person Alerts for the state of Idaho. These alerts can be disseminated internally or to the public to raise awareness and assist in locating various types of missing persons who are at risk of endangerment. Idaho uses this system for missing adults who are in danger, often those with a cognitive impairment or other conditions that put them at risk.

To facilitate this, CPI modified the Enter Missing Person (EM) and Modify Missing Person (MM) forms to include additional fields and processing logic for handling Endangered Missing Person Alerts within the OpenFox® Message Switch. The system was updated to create a formatted Administrative Message (AM) based on the new form fields and route it to the OpenFox Message Switch for email delivery. Additionally, the OpenFox Database was updated to store these new fields, while the existing hardware platform remained unchanged.

CPI is committed to helping ensure the safety of all citizens and officers through its software solutions.
