Computer Projects of Illinois, Inc. (CPI) modernized the Department of Motor Vehicles' interface with the OpenFox® Message Switch for the Vermont Department of Public Safety. CPI replaced the legacy text interface with a Web Service interface. This new interface utilizes Extensible Markup Language (XML), which is standardized in conjunction with the Nlets National Information Exchange Model (NIEM).
