Computer Projects of Illinois (CPI) and the Illinois State Police (ISP) have successfully deployed the OpenFox Next Generation Sex Offender Registry (SOR) into production.
CPI handled the design, development, installation, and implementation of the NextGen SOR Application. This included utilities, interfaces, licenses, testing, and professional services to implement and deploy the new applications and information repositories. The implementation also features a brand-new public-facing Sex Offender website.
The OpenFox NextGen Sex Offender Registry significantly reduces the need for multiple data entries across various platforms. This enhancement minimizes opportunities for error and decreases the workforce hours required for data entry. Ultimately, better information leads to improved protection against sex crimes and contributes to safer communities.
Highlights of the project included:
- Performed discovery of the Customer’s existing SOR business rules and processing logic
- Reviewed and documented Illinois’ planned offender registration workflow.
- Reviewed and documented all current and planned integration points.
- Completed an initial data mapping of Illinois’ SOR data from the current OpenFox HotFiles (“HFS”) database to the OpenFox NextGen SOR Database.
- Installed the OpenFox NextGen SOR Base Product.
- Installed and configured CPI’s patented National Criminal Information Center (“NCIC”) Synchronization (“NCISyncTM”) product.
