CPI OpenFox configured the Nlets Historical Missing Persons Queries for the Arizona Department of Public Safety (AZDPS), enabling the exchange of incident information from AZDPS’s Missing and Exploited Children Repository (MEC) with other law enforcement and criminal justice agencies.
CPI was tasked with completing several activities to implement the solution:
Created Missing Persons Historical Data Repository CPI configured a new Repository (REPO) class station using Message Queue (MQ) protocol to connect to AZDPS’s Historical Missing Persons and Exploited Children Database Repository (MEC).
File Route Configurations CPI configured a new file route to direct traffic to the defined MEC REPO station.
OpenFox Message Switch Changes CPI modified the OpenFox Message Switch Transaction Processing (TP) to handle new Missing Person Historical Query (MPQ) and Missing Person Historical Response (MPR) Message Keys (MKE) in the National Information Exchange Model (NIEM) XML format.
Message Key Configurations CPI configured MKEs using Nlets standard schemas. Transactions were configured as required and routed based on response types.
No Hardware Configuration Needed. The existing hardware platform remained unchanged, and no additional third-party products were included.
Testing Strategy CPI conducted integration testing of its components and software. AZDPS was responsible for timely User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and for approving the final product before production implementation. AZDPS developed and executed a UAT Test Plan to ensure the system met requirements.
This marks the first state to pilot this Nlets implementation, with plans to roll it out to other states in the future.
