The primary objective of this project was to replace the legacy text interface between the existing Mainframe and the OpenFox® Message Switch with a Web Service interface that exchanges Nlets National Information Exchange Model (NIEM) standardized XML. This project involved creating a new web services interface, file route, station class, and associated stations as well as core messaging system changes to process driver-related transactions with a new data server. The scope of this project only includes driver-related transactions. CPI provided and configured the following OpenFox components:

A new Representational State Transfer (RESTful) synchronous web service client interface to communicate with the DMV web service
A new file route associated with a new DMV station
Presentation stylesheets as provided by Nlets for in-state responses
Presentation stylesheet for Customer-specific Driver Query responses
Code changes to the OpenFox Message Switch to support the new headers, trailers, and message formats
Message Switch Key Configurations
