The Missouri State Highway Patrol (MSHP) has been actively using the Missouri Automated Criminal History Site (MACHS) Portal for several years. With the help of CPI (Computer Projects of Illinois), the new updates ensure the management and execution of name searches align with the Computerized Criminal History (CCH) system’s current workflow. This project has aligned name searches done in-person at the MSHP Public Window or sent in through the mail with the current online name search process.
The project synergized the separate Name Search workflows for an entry that originated through the MACHS Portal and manually entered searches performed by MSHP personnel into a cohesive process more in line with the current CCH. CPI Engineers created a new data entry method for name searches into the overall CCH workflow. This required additional screen development within the CCH Client including back-end support for data entry and communication with the CCH DB.
The implementation provides the MSHP CCH Admin personnel the ability to electronically enter requests presented at the Public Window for walk-ins or for mailed-in name search requests.
The MACHS Portal is a version of the CPI solution called OpenFox® iRAP (Internet Record Access Portal).
